What’s your ROI for Digital Marketing?

Nowadays, 34% of Marketing professionals believe that digital marketing ROI should provide more profits than traditional marketing the likes of radio, TV and outdoor promotions; according to the “2009 Promo Interactive Marketing Survey” from the marketing publication PROMO Magazine and conducted by Penton Research. Furthermore, the study has shown that 22% of the Marketers surveyed said that they would switch money from traditional media to the digital means.

E-mail marketing, newsletters and online promotions are the top 3 tactics implemented by US Marketers in 2009.

Additionally, some tactics that marketers increasingly use are corporate blogs, social network promotions, viral campaigns, video-site campaigns and in-game marketing, among others.

US Marketers are increasing their budgets for emerging media campaigns. However, 38% don’t really know or haven’t measured their online ROI yet. In this scenario, the desire for performance is apparently turning marketers towards spaces where they have less ways to measure ROI and test their performance.
