I heard from multiple sources that just using a part of a piece of music on a website less than five seconds is not in breach of copyright, can anyone confirm?

This is some great information.

I recently was hired to do a video presentation and they want music…

I was going to search for stock houses that have music and spend like a million hours try and find one.

but this suggestion of approaching musicians you know is a much better one.

This way it gets their word out and gives me more control over describing what we are looking for…
